It’s called Me and GrandMom, written by Verde Nia, and it’s a little gem: a touching and joyful story that begins in a garden shared between a girl and her grandmother… and reaches the very heart of urban gardening.

A book about vegetables — and about love

Between rows of lettuce and hands covered in soil, lie some of the most genuine memories. Me and GrandMom is a manual, yes, but also a diary, a slice of life, an invitation to rediscover simplicity. It speaks of balcony gardening, of course, but also of relationships, generational bonds, and women who pass on the knowledge of care.

Why publish it?

Because we said to ourselves: if we want to change how people grow food, we also need to change how we tell the story of the soil.
